The whole reason I got started into the blogging world was because I saw a friend of mine had been visiting a blog friend of hers, who did their family of 7's grocery bill for around $200 per month by double couponing!! I thought "HOW on Earth can anyone feed that many people on a $50/week budget!?!" Well for several hours/days I read as many blogs as I could soak up about the in's and out's of couponing; how to make coupons work for you, and how each store has its own operations of deals - many times requiring you to sign up for their 'rewards program' or 'loyalty membership program' Therefore - I have a ton of 'rewards/membership' cards lying around, on my keychain, buried in my purse, etc!
The next generation of carrying around a stack of loyalty and membership cards is now here, thanks to the MoBeam numi key. The numi key hooks onto your key chain and will electronically store up to 50 reward membership numbers (and eventually coupons and gift cards), so they're accessible at the push of a button! Genius!
When you get your numi key, it is really quite simple to get it set up. The hardest part of setting it up will be finding all of your loyalty cards to plug into the computer! You plug the numi key into any PC with an included USB cable. The numi key automatically turns on and starts to charge. (Depending on how often you shop, the numi key should stay charged for several weeks at a time). Then you visit their website www.myloyaltycards.com and can start entering your store card information right away!
The numi key offers a list of over 90 retailers, so it is easy to choose yours right from their drop-down list. Then enter in your membership numbers, wait a few seconds while the information is processed and then it's done.
As you can see in step 2, you can also enter the information for any retailer that might not be listed. You even have the option of choosing the image that will come up when you select that card in the store. Updating or removing any store numbers is just as easy as adding new numbers!
So when all of your cards are entered, you can head off to the store! While checking out, you find your retailer in the list on your numi key, and push the red button at the scanner! The numi key works with flatbed scanners (like the grocery stores have) as well as the handheld laser scanners that project a sharp red line. If the numi key does not work at one of your stores, you can simply read your membership numbers to them direclty from the numi key.
The numi key would be a great gift idea for any shoppers on your list! Available on Amazon.com for $19.95, this is a great way to bring convenience to family and friends in your life this holiday season. And, thanks to MoBeam, one lucky winner will receive a numi key for free this holiday season! They have generously offered to ship this product in a timely manner to the winner, so to (hopefully) have it in their hands by Christmas!

It will hold up to 50 loyalty cards. :) Very cool! I normally hate those cards, and my husband I just say no when they ask if we have them because we're LAZY! lol This would solve that problem. :)

ReplyDeleteThis sounds great! I love that you can enter the info if a retailer isn't listed. In a small town that'd come in handy! I'd keep it for myself :) I'm a couponer too!
ReplyDeleteWhat an ingenious product. I love that you can enter whatever stores you need to and that it will store more than I would ever need.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I learned that it supports most of the places where I shop, so it would be wonderful for me. And, it would be for ME.

ReplyDeleteI learned that they recommend that you hold the nümi key™ within 4-6 inches of the scanner at checkout. This would be for me, since I'm the coupon clipper in the family! :) Thank you for the giveaway!

I learned that transmitting by the Numi Key is actually more accurate than scanning the card itself.

It's easy to enter information with the push of a button on your PC. This would be for me.
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty cool. I'd never even heard of it before. Great that it will also be able to hold gift cards soon too.
