Hello Everyone!
I’m Amy and I’m a mom of two very young boys! My oldest is two years old, and my youngest is just 5 months! I love my boys and couldn’t' imagine life with another girl in the house :) Our 2 year old Andrew is our kind-hearted train fanatic that hates getting dirty. Ethan is our happy little chatterbox and I imagine he’ll be talking our heads off sooner than later.By trade I am a Dental Hygienist, although I have been mostly staying at home since Andrew was born. I have been blessed enough to go to Ukraine a few times with my Dental Hygiene skills and work on kids at an orphanage. I hope that I’ll continue to be blessed with this opportunity (having my husband stay home with two kids for 11 days…)I love to do all kinds of crafts. I was a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator until I learned that I was pregnant with Andrew and realized that my craft room in our tiny condo would need to become a baby room. I also have been learning to sew and loving the idea of quilting. I have many quilts made in my head; but only a few tops and some Christmas stockings made IRL. Now that we have moved into a house with an extra bedroom; I am anxiously awaiting the day where I can have my ‘craft room’ back so I can start my projects again. I love cooking fun things; although I *loathe* the dishes afterwards, which often keeps me from cooking in the first place. I have a terrible phobia of Spiders and used to make my husband check the entire bed before getting in, and several times in the night I would request a re-check.
My husband and I are a little more on the home-body side at home; but we both love to take a drive just because we want to try to get lost somewhere. We love checking things out: for example, we will chase a smoke cloud or those moving sky lights for miles to find out where they’re coming from! We’re explorers at heart; and love to travel. We also very much enjoy camping and hiking – but more in places where we can get lost in the woods vs. being right next door to other campers. We would travel every day if we could!
I once met a family through my work who has inspired me to dream of a vacation much like they did. They took an entire year off from work/school and drove in an RV from state to state; homeschooling – but learning so much about the history and culture in the US. I would absolutely love to do this when my kids are a bit older; although I realize the costs involved are much more than a years salary for our family (not to mention the years salary that we’d be missing) – and unless we win a lottery of some sort (that we’re not purchasing) – we would never be able to do this. One can dream, right?
Well that’s probably more than you needed to know about my family, but now about my blog. Grinning Cheek to Cheek is a blog about my family life and crazy stories that I have to tell about it. I also love to review and talk about products that have helped our family to make life a little easier. I love working with companies and helping them get the word out on their new products and innovations: and I love hosting giveaways for those products as well – so that’s what you’ll see most of on this website. Thanks for stopping by to come ‘party’ with me! I love to talk (especially to adults, haha!!) Take a look at the rest of my site and I really hope that you enjoy enough to bookmark me and come back again soon! Don’t forget to head over to the 5 Minutes for Mom Ultimate Blog Party site to check out the rest of the party!
I am also hosting a $25 Amazon Gift card giveaway at the UBP! Don't Forget to fill out your entry forms!!
Also, If you’re a blogger – please leave your website along with your comment and I’ll come check your site out as well :)
