I have had it up to my eyebrows with those ugly plastic plugs that you insert into all of the electrical outlets around the house. It seems that any time we need to use the outlet, the cover gets put somewhere on the floor, then soon ends up in Andrews mouth or toy bin. They are unsightly and annoying. Andrew had recently learned a new game of removing the covers and trying to line it back up to replace it. He gets so proud of himself for doing it, which is why we then removed all of the covers. We figured it was much more dangerous for him to have a reason to play at the socket, vs. ignoring it!
Then I saw the Kid-E-Cover! This cover is just like any other cover, except it is NOT any other cover! The Kid-E-Cover was made to protect children from the outlet, while still being adult friendly!
You replace your entire outlet cover with the Kid-E-Cover, and don’t ever have to think about putting those unsightly plugs in your walls again! When you want to plug something in, you simply pull the side tab until the outlet holes line up to the cover holes, and then insert your plug. To remove the plug, simply pull it out! The tab automatically closes the outlet covers, so you don’t have to worry about anything!
The construction of these covers is great! Even my husband said that they are not cheaply made by any means, and that he’d love to have a full set around our whole house (we’re moving into a new house next month, and will have MANY more outlets to cover..)!
So There you have it – the happy approval of my husband, who is sometimes hard to please with gadget reviews.
You can purchase these covers on amazon as well as the Elicole website. The cost for a 5 pack is $15.00.
So that being said, one very lucky reader will win a package of five (5) outlet covers!
WIN IT!!!!
Elicole LLC (Kid-E-Cover) has offered the chance to win a five pack of Kid-E-Covers to one of my readers!

When we first started child proofing, we had those ugly useless ones that she would just pull out, suck on and I was afraid of her putting it back in wet. We got some new ones for her room that you have to twist. Would love some more for the living room.
ReplyDeleteI've stepped on plenty of those covers when I go to my brother's house! ouch!

We haven't used these in the house yet, since my baby is still pretty immobile, but we're getting to that point! That outlet cover looks amazing!

I had two different kinds of outlet cover. The plain jane kind that are hard to get off are good-the kids did not/do not play with them but there was another kind I got that were easy off ones-the day they went on the twins were able to take them off and put them on. The things actually seemed to encourage the twins to play with the outlets. Wish I would have known about these. What a great idea.

ReplyDeleteWe've always used those plastic insert outlet covers but honestly, our kids have never ever touched the plug in or showed any interest. Esp. after we explained the dangers.

We bought the ugly plastic covers when my son was a baby but never got around to putting them up since he was never interested in playing with the outlets. However, we are expecting our second child in June and who knows... he might LOVE outlets.
